Simon Jacobs BSc
Simon has been with the firm since 1989. Prior to joining Jacobs. Simon graduated from City University in London in 1989 after achieving a degree in Business Systems and Computing.
Simon is Treasurer and Past President of the Civil Enforcement Association which was formed in February 2011 by the merger of the Enforcement Services Association and Association of Civil Enforcement Agencies. Simon has also served on the Board of Directors of the World Association of Detectives.
Simon’s main responsibilities include IT development and client contract management.
Simon's interests outside of the business revolve around his family but he also likes to play golf and go to watch Everton Football Club.
Paula Jacobs BA (Hons)
Paula has worked for the firm since 1988. Paula joined the company to assist her father straight after she had completed her GCSE’s, and she has since successfully completed a degree in Business Studies.
Paula's main responsibilities include Enforcement Agent Performance Management, Training & Development and overseeing our Office Management Team, ensuring that working practices / procedures are constantly moving forward.
Paula holds monthly debriefs with all of our managers in order to ensure the business is functioning as it should be in order to service our clients effectively.
In her spare time Paula likes skiing, keeping fit and she also enjoys going to see comedians such as Michael McIntyre.
Alyn Lewis IRRV (Dip)
Client Development Director
Alyn joined Jacobs in September 2009 having worked in local government for over 21 years'. Alyn was previously Head of Financial Customer Services at Flintshire County Council with responsibilities covering Revenues, Benefits and Exchequer Services
His main responsibilities are to ensure we increase our client base throughout England & Wales and meet our sustainable growth plans, in addition to supporting clients
Alyn is an experienced speaker at both national and regional professional events and forums on topical issues, legislation and best practice and is currently a member of the IRRV North and Mid Wales Executive Council, and Vice Chair of the BPA Wales Group.
Interests outside work include "his version" of playing golf.
Paul Kelly IRRV (Hons)
Client Services Director
Paul joined Jacobs in July 2006 after spending 20 years working for local authorities. He has held local taxation management positions with St. Helens MBC, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, Knowsley MBC and Trafford MBC.
Paul's main responsibility is to manage our current client base, monitor contract delivery and performance in addition to providing training and development.
Paul is currently an Executive member of the Lancashire & Cheshire Association of the IRRV.
Outside of work Paul is a school governor and his hobbies include karate and supporting Everton Football Club.
Bethan Lewis IRRV (Tech)
Head of Public Sector Procurement
Bethan joined Jacobs in January 2013 as Business Development Manager. Her main role is to support the continued growth of the company through the formal procurement process and identify opportunity for new business.
Bethan has over 20 years' experience in Local Authority Revenues, Benefits and Financial Systems, having worked for Local Authorities in North Wales, Cheshire and Merseyside. Previously, Bethan was Systems & Compliance Manager with arvato UK & Ireland.
Qualifications include Technician membership of the IRRV and Silver Membership with The Institute of Customer Services.
Her spare time centres around her family and she enjoys travelling, cooking, and retail therapy.
Head of Client Services
Debbie joined Jacobs in 2004. Prior to this Debbie worked in a senior position for Royal Liver Assurance for over 28 years in customers services.
Debbie is responsible for client contract management, liaising as a direct contact for new and existing clients, ensuring that highest level of service is being met.
In her spare time she enjoys travelling, cooking and reading.
Head of Operational Performance
Sarah joined Jacobs in July 2006. She originally started working in our Client Admin Department but after just 6 months she commenced an assistant role in Human Resources and was promoted to HR Manager in October 2010. She held this position for nearly 3 years and within this time she obtained her CIPD qualification.
In August 2013 she undertook a new challenge managing our Contact Centre and she quickly introduced an enhanced training program, a Call Quality system and a performance-related Bonus Scheme. In January 2016 she was appointed to a new position managing all of our operational departments: - our Enforcement Agents, our Contact Centre, our Field Admin Department, our Client Admin Department and our Operational Admin Department.
In her spare time Sarah enjoys reading, socialising and making plans for her next home renovation.
Ben Quinn BSc (Hons)
Head of Technology
Ben joined Jacobs in November 2011, having previously worked for Bank of America and a leading training provider to the aerospace industry.
Ben is responsible for the management of all Technology departments throughout the organisation, ensuring that we remain the most innovative organisation in our industry.
Key aspects of his role include the Analysis, Design and Project Management of the Development of Jacobs bespoke Systems and Automated Technology.
In his spare time he enjoys football, going to music festivals, writing music and keeping fit.
Hayley Evans MAAT
Head of Finance
Hayley joined Jacobs in October 2010 having previously completed her Accountancy Training Working in Practice. Prior to joining us, Hayley worked as an accounts manager for Neston Environmental Services.
Hayley is responsible for sales and purchase ledgers, preparing VAT returns, client remits, company payroll and company vehicles.
In her spare time Hayley enjoys holidays, shopping and spending time with her daughter.
Systems & Support Manager
Kev joined Jacobs in 2006, previously working in sales specialising in selling and maintaining business machines.
Kev is responsible for the Jacobs technology network, infrastructure and security as well as new case, remittance and statistical processes.
In his spare time he enjoys running and playing golf.
Chris Mackin BA (Hons)
Chris joined Jacobs in November 2013. Chris previously spent 5 years developing multimedia training materials for the aerospace industry, specialising in Carbon Composites for the Airbus A350 and Lean Manufacturing Environments.
Chris is responsible for the design and upkeep of all corporate branding and literature, marketing materials, interface designs for new systems and web applications, designing and building training materials and in 2014 created the Jacobs Training Library.
In his spare time Chris enjoys reading, photography, climbing and drawing.
Pauline Mansell BSc (Hons)
Field Operations Manager
Pauline joined Jacobs in June 2003. Prior to this Pauline worked in credit control in the finance sector.
Pauline is responsible for the day to day operation of our nationwide team of Enforcement Agents. This includes performance management, recruitment, training and development.
In her spare time she enjoys shopping, foreign travel and visiting classic car shows.
Client Admin Manager
Joanne joined Jacobs in February 1991. Before this, Jo worked at the Co-Operative Head Office for North Wales and North Western Sector.
Jo manages the Client Administration Team, oversees all debtor post and manages the allocation of work sent by clients.
In her spare time, Jo enjoys socialising, swimming and helping out the local scout group.
Operational Admin Manager
Julie joined Jacobs in April 1999. Prior to this, Julie worked as Customer Services Support Supervisor for Iceland Frozen Foods.
Julie manages the Operational Administration Team and oversees all Quality Support tasks.
In her spare time Julie follows Everton Football Club and enjoys spending time with her two grandchildren who arrived late in 2014.
Field Admin Manager
Wendy joined Jacobs in July 2006, having previously worked for 18 years for Windsors of Wallasey, the main dealership for 5 franchises.
Wendy is responsible for managing the Enforcement Agent Admin Team, monitoring team performance to ensure tasks are completed and overseeing the incoming and outgoing of Enforcement Agents' work.
In her spare time she enjoys keeping fit, swimming, walking her dog and also likes to skydive!
Contact Centre Manager
Craig joined Jacobs in July 2014 as a Compliance Agent and then in August 2015 he was promoted to a Performance Auditor role which involved him assisting with the monitoring of the Contact Centre performance. In January 2016 Craig was promoted again to the role of Contact Centre Manager. Prior to joining Jacobs Craig gained 10 years experience in Sales, and he also spent a couple of years managing within hospitality.
His role involves managing our Contact Centre, ensuring customer service standards remain high, and also balancing the need for increased collection rates.
In his spare time Craig enjoys spending time with his family, playing poker and swimming.
Head of Customer Relations
Clare joined Jacobs in May 1997 as an office junior whilst still sitting her A Levels. Clare remained with the company and worked her way up to the Head of Customer Relations role.
Clare manages all complaints and identifies discrepancies in Enforcement Agent performance. Clare also assists Head of Field Operations, Pauline Mansell, with her duties.
In her spare time, Clare enjoys reading, running and spending time with her family.
