Following a formal competitive tendering exercise, Jacobs are pleased to announce that we have been reappointed at Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council for the collection of both Council Tax and Business Rates, including corporate debt.
The further competition was conducted under the YPO (Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation) framework, with 21 suppliers on the framework. Jacobs scored the highest points against the robust criteria set by the Council and were awarded the sole contract.
Simon Jacobs, Partner, said: “We have been working in partnership with the Council for 20 plus years and are delighted to have been reappointed following a robust and detailed tender process. We look forward to continuing our partnership with the Council, the Revenues teams, and all stakeholders within Wirral.”
The new contract commenced in January 2016 and awarded for up to 4 years.
Bethan Lewis, Head of Public Sector Procurement at Jacobs said: “The YPO framework is now well established and available for all public authorities to utilise. The team at YPO work direct with Councils, have model specifications in addition to a large and detailed question library, and contribute to greatly reducing workloads for local authorities. We are very pleased with this new contract appointment, which demonstrates that our innovative services stand up to detailed scrutiny and offer the Council quality assurance, excellent customer service, and best value.”
